Teacher Comments

You have completed most posts for the research stages but some are very brief and do not explain or show what you have learnt. You need more detail and media theory/terminology.

Try to incorporate the key concepts and media language we learnt during the induction period. Whenever you put something onto your blog you must always justify why it is there, what it shows, how it will inform your product, how it will inform your research and planning and construction of your magazine etc.

The marks come from how you analyse and use information. Not by just having in on your blog.

institution to produce my music magzine

For the music magazine the company EMAP to produce and distribute the magazine as they have produced other magazines in the market. Aswell as EMAP will produce the magazine aswell as distribute it to their major customers and the major market. They have also produced more magazines that have made major profit.

My Unique Selling Point (USP)

The unique selling Point is the type of song my rapper sings , it is unique as only a few of music parodies get actually produced and released  into the top 40 only one this year has got into the top 40 as the type of music they do is a unique and very difficult to produce for many reasons. the USP for my magazine is the special type of magazine for unique and "qwerky" types of music styles

My Front Cover Draft

Here is my front cover draft , at the moment the background is black as no picture has been taken yet that will be the picture of my main person will be placed behind the writing.

Font Colour And Style.

For the font colour for background i will be using the picture of the main person in the background , and will be having font colour which stands out on the photo colours for instance i will have black font colour aswell as red and yellow to make it stand out. I will also be using a font colour for the around the edges to make the writing stand out.

I will also be using a barcode to make the magazine realistic aswell as that i will be placing a price on the magazine also.

Here is the barcode :

Planning - Font Styles for front cover

My Simple Plan :

Name Of Magazine : C-RAP

Font Style for the C,R,A and P : "Just Another Font" "100pt"
For the small "-" we have to use another font to make it more proffesional use font "Grunt reaper" "100pt"

The Logo i will look basically like this :

As you can see its the typical styled logo for a rapping magazine as you can see in my analysis of the fonts they use in real magazines its very similar.

For the sub headings i will be using the font called "lastman" with a smaller font size of "30pt"
the font looks like this :

As you can see the font style is bold and stands out i will be having 3 sub headings to explain what is  inside the magazine.

for the final subheading i have used the font 'allstar" "24pt"

The magazine front cover looks like this :

The Rapping stereotype

today i am going to learn about the typical stereotypical rapper type of person and the way the rappers are portrayed in posters and magazines.

When i ask people who is would  you first think of when i say rapper : EMINEM who is the most successful rapper ever. We will use him as the typical stereotypical rapper

As you can see we have two types of rappers and the stereotypical rappers are shown above
as you can see they both are wearing hats or hoodies (in some cases) along with "Bling" they also look towards the camera however in some cases they have there head towards the floor with a "gesture" with their hands that wont cause any controversy as they are classed as idols and stereotypical.
also they make it apply to the type of group of age for example the teens wand 18 year olds who read the magazine.

my preliminary contents page

I have designed my preliminary task of a contents page for saint marys college.
I have used the typical contents page with the page numbers to the left of the page with the bold writing of contents page at the top. i have also placed the logo at the top right of the college with two main pictures and the date of the magazine printed at the bottom of the page.

As you can see all songs are new and there are many new songs . However there are no Music Parody songs in the rapping charts which makes my artist who will be in my magazine a possible hit !
Also most rappers are rapping in two which also makes mine fairly unique as he is rapping on his own. Also aswell as the rapping charts my artist could join the RnB chart aswell causing my artist to be a major hit in two different charts which would be a good record.
